Senate Joint Resolution 41 was adopted in the spring of 2019. In 2019-2020, the Illinois Board of Higher Education and Illinois Community College Board will convene a joint advisory council for the purposes of reviewing and scaling effective developmental education practices. The goal is to support student academic success in entry-level, credit-bearing, college coursework, as well as retention and degree completion.
